Why should I buy your product?

Dr Cleangreen's Handy Essentials is formulated by doctors in active medical practices-who better to understand the need for proper hand hygiene! But you don't have to be a doctor to see how infections like Influenza A, Methicillin Resistant Staph Aureus (MRSA) and a host of other organisms are causing preventable illness in adults and children alike.

Adequate hand hygiene helps prevent the spread of germs through faithful, consistent application of hand sanitizers/purifiers. The limitation of today's market is that most products contain over 60% alcohol. And while they may claim to be "moisturizing," we all know that most alcohol-based gels cause severe skin dryness. In addition, once the alcohol evaporates, the gel residue can leave hands feeling sticky.

Enter Dr. Cleangreen's Handy Essentials hand purifier. Our 100% natural, USDA-certified organic product achieves excellent results while using only 20% organic alcohol. Instead of relying on high percentages of alcohol to kill germs, our product uses an effective blend of essential oils with proven antimicrobial strength. That also means that the essential oils, which don't evaporate quickly, continue to keep your hands clean long after the alcohol's gone.

Dr Cleangreen's Handy Essentials smells and feels great! The clean smell and silky feel of our product will encourage continued use. You will find that our product can double as a quickly-absorbing moisturizing lotion, leaving no residue. Imagine the money you'll be saving without the need for all those hand lotions!

Are there more problems with the other hand sanitizers?

Another issue with today's high alcohol-containing hand sanitizers is the harsh smell. Most, if not all, hand sanitizers in the hospital are unscented--meaning they smell strongly like rubbing alcohol. Some manufacturers have tried to compensate for unpleasant odor by adding artificial scents. Unfortunately, most of these products just end up smelling like flowers dripping in alcohol.

Dr. Cleangreen uses top-quality certified-organic essential oils to provide both the smell and cleansing power. Our hand purifier uses cosmetic-grade lotion to provide a truly moisturizing product. Dr. Cleangreen's Handy Essentials hand purifier contains 100% natural products and is preservative free.

Are all bacteria bad?

No. In fact, the human digestive system relies on bacterial colonization to perform properly, thus the advent of probiotics.

Can I remove all the bacteria and other germs from my hands? Is this necessary?

You probably could if you scrubbed hard enough, but this would be quite challenging and likely detrimental to maintaining intact skin. Normal human skin harbors a lot of bacteria. Resident flora colonizes deeper skin layers and is more resistant to scrubbing than transient flora (which occupy the more superficial layers of skin). Resident flora generally has lower disease-causing potential than transient flora and is considered important for colonization resistance, thereby preventing colonization with other, more potentially dangerous microorganisms.

Transient flora colonizes the superficial skin layers for short periods and is usually acquired by contact with an infected individual or a contaminated environment. These microorganisms are easily removed by mechanical means such as hand washing or by applying hand sanitizers/purifiers.

Is healthy skin important to resisting infection?

Yes. Intact skin helps protect you from acquiring or transmitting germs. People with injured/ cracked skin are more likely to harbor staph aureus (including MRSA) and other pathogenic bacteria than those with healthy skin.

From a practical standpoint, the skin drying side effect of current alcohol-based hand sanitizers is one of the main reasons for non-compliance (that is the product is available, its just that people aren't using them).

As one can guess, the antimicrobial effect is quite limited if the sanitizer is not even used!

Dr. Cleangreen's Handy Essentials hand purifier contains all natural moisturizers which promote healthy, soft skin.
